MVC w/ Entrapment

At 1628 hours on Wednesday December 26th, the Gumboro Volunteer Fire Company along with Medic 102 and Trooper 2 were alerted for an MVC with entrapment on Laurel RD in the area of East Trap Pond RD. Assistant Chief Rick DeFelice arrived on scene to find a three vehicle MVC with one patient still trapped in her vehicle. Rescue 79, under the direction of Deputy Chief Corey Davis arrived on scene and began extricating. After a full roof removal from the car, one patient was then loaded into trooper 2 and flown to Christiana. Two additional patients were transported by ground by C-83, and ambulance 81 held a patient refusal. Crews on scene were cleared by Assistant Chief DeFelice at 1745 hours.
