In Rememberance of Charles P. West

On the evening of Wednesday October the 7th, Charles West, better know to his friends and family as "Charlie", passed away in his home in Gumboro. Everyone that knew Charlie can agree that he was a man that everyone could take an immense amount of knowledge from. He served for over 50 years as an active member of the Gumboro Volunteer Fire Company, served 26 years in the Delaware House of Representatives for the 41st district, and was a World War II veteran with the United States Army. The members and staff of the Gumboro Volunteer Fire Company, as well as a saddened community, will greatly miss Charlie, but will never forget all that we have been so fortunate to learn from him.
